Depends on the woman and the situation. I got divorced in 2018 and my raises since then more than cover the child support she was awarded.
Beyond that, capping my financial obligation to that woman proved to be infinitely valuable. I can handle "$1,300 every month" a lot better than I can handle the open-ended commitment of being married to someone who never grew up.

Unless your a complete documented shite show of a parent you should have no problem getting joint 50/50 custody. Is the other parent attempting to take sole custody or not? Depending on age of the kids you can plan on 7 and 7 or 225 custody arrangement.

It certainly can be. I was cursed/blessed with facing a very ,very good opposing lawyer, but one that was also very ethical. She did not simply give in to the wild whims of what my ex wanted to do to in pure vengeance for leaving her. Her own lawyer shut her bullshite down and pushed for what was fair and right for the kids not for her revenge thirsty client. My attorney was really good as well with keeping me in check during the process.

Thanks for sharing. That's the first positive thing I've heard about family court. Are you able to share who the attorneys were so that we know which ones will do a good job?
