I stayed with a cousin of mine when I was maybe 10. My uncle promised that he would buy us a snack. Unfortunately, he was a heroin addict, so he ended up giving us condensed milk and some graham crackers.

I’ve done some fat arse shite in my day, but straight out of the can is just insane.
Try it on fresh strawberries. The fruit nixes the fat arse part.

I made that mistake. I had some in a pot of boiling water - dozed off and a couple hours later I heard a loud BOOM like a gunshot. Went in the kitchen and the can had exploded -- caramel splattered everywhere including the ceiling

A can of condensed milk was used as a field ration ration during the Civil War.
Some guy named Borden made a killing selling it to the Yankee’s.

The U.S. government ordered huge amounts of condensed milk as a field ration for Union soldiers during the war. This was an extraordinary field ration for the nineteenth century: a typical 10-oz (300-ml) can contained 1,300 calories (5440 kJ), 1 oz (28 g) each of protein and fat, and more than 7 oz (200 g) of carbohydrate.

One of mom’s friends when we lived in Memphis used to do something similar but with Cool Whip.
She would make ONE cup of Swiss Miss hot chocolate and then open a container of Cool Whip and put a spoonful in. She would then spoon it back out and put another spoonful in and repeat until she ate the whole container.

I ate angel food cake covered with Carnation evaporated milk growing up. The first time I ate this after getting married my wife was disgusted and labeled it as cat food. I had no idea this was unusual and just assumed people did this routinely.

Nope
…but if my mom had any leftover from baking her and my dad would use it in their coffee until gone.

Cool Whip is disgusting. It's not even real dairy, just a bunch of whipped chemicals

Cake covered with pet milk sounds terrible

Yes it really does.
Fortunately though it’s not at all what we’re talking about here. You have it totally wrong.
And now you know that pet milk has nothing to do with and is no way similar to condensed milk.
You’re welcome.

Cool Whip is categorized as whipped topping, not whipped cream, because it contains dairy and other ingredients in addition to corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.
It has skim milk and light cream in it

That's why I used Carnation.

I know the difference between condensed milk and evaporated milk and I also know the topic was condensed milk but the post I responded to said evaporated milk, which is pet milk, and THAT sounds terrible.
