I just got bumped up to Deputy Chairperson on our Email Drafting Council. I can't wait to throw around my new authority. Things are looking up for 2026.

Our office usually works the M-F 8-5 and they’ll likely not even let us go early Christmas Eve. Private equity assholes

We used to always get early dismissal. Now they get mad that so many people take PTO, so they punish those who don’t.

No work gets done anyway…

I'm self employed. Plenty of billable work. Will be working whenever I can this week.

Office closed Friday, so probably no early dismissal tomorrow. Especially considering there’ll be an early dismissal the following week for NYE.

This is how I roll also. Expectations are so low on the last two weeks, it's impossible to "underperform". I like to take off when I have something to get out of.

This reeks of insecurity. No real manager has to post this to make them feel better.

I would probably kill myself if I spent this much time and effort lying to strangers on an anonymous message board

normally we knock off after lunch on Christmas eve. We were just told that we'd stop on the 23rd, mid afternoon. Plant is slowwwww right now. makes sense.

With manager approval, employees may leave at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, to get an early start on holiday travel or celebrations. Please coordinate with your manager directly for any business needs that may require work beyond the early dismissal time.

I'm off Xmas eve, Xmas day, and Friday. Paid vacation. Will probably knock off after lunch tomorrow.

I used to let the guys that had families take off around holidays…I would take off around opening weekends of hunting season…something I actually enjoyed!
