In a case like this, if he cannot be executed within several months to a year, we might as well get rid of the death penalty because there is no point.

This is so true.
This kid has mountains of evidence against him, he admits what he did, admits to planning it, admits to not being remorseful, and admits that he wanted to do more but was caught.
This is one of those cases where a .10 cent bullet is all that should be needed 20 minutes after the court's decision.

I used to be very pro death penalty. Now, I'm not so sure that anyone should get the easy way out. I think he should be on bread and water in a small cell with nothing more than a concrete cot; a concrete toilet and sink; and pictures of his victims laminated on the walls of his cell. Let him rot.
Perhaps let him roam in the general population for a half hour once a week.

I kind of feel the same way.
Timothy McVeigh said that he preferred death to a life sentence. It is the easy way out.
