I am asking why a normal democrat, a hard working straight married person with kids etc, is championing and supporting the cause to idolize transsexuals

A good buddy of mine is a relatively middle of the road Dem. He voted for Biden, Clinton, and Obama, but didn't hate Romney. He hated Trump, as did many, but also got tired of the draconian Covid restrictions and saw it as a government power grab.

Recently, another buddy of mine told us about how his wife was changing their child in a women's bathroom at a restaurant in Mississippi when what was clearly a cross-dressing man walked in to, I guess, use the restroom. My buddy's wife went about her business, but told her husband it made her uncomfortable. At this point in the story, my Democrat friend burst into statistics about how a child is much more likely to be molested at church or school than by a trans person in a bathroom.

Even assuming that is true, my Democrat friend whiffed on the real issues, which are of fricking course it makes a woman uncomfortable when a man comes in their bathroom and of fricking course no man wants another man to be in the bathroom with his wife and child.

But here is the thing I don't understand, the same Democrat friend will bash the two "trans" people we know as being loony!

It makes no sense!

It was in 2016 and had little long term effect: USA Today - Target Boycot

Oh if USA Today says it it must be true.

Hint: the corporate executives will NEVER admit that it suffered negative effects from a boycott because that is essentially admitting they breached their fiduciary duty to the corporation by placing social positions over profitability. They’ll blame it on other vague things. The most they’ll say, as in the present case, is that demand fell or sales came in lower than expected. They don’t need to say why and they won’t. But the proof is in the pudding.

Could just be the better spot. Rural areas don’t have as many options.

For me it doesn’t make sense to go to target since there is a rouses much closer to get groceries at.

It’s kind of like some areas the only place to go is the super Walmart.

This is central MS. There's Walmarts, Costco, Sams, Krogers, Whole Foods, etc all within a few miles.

This dude is a grown man. I don't give a shite if he wishes to be trans. That's his right.

But what's up with all these companies bending over backwards for him. Everything about him seems fake and convoluted. Not to mention his entire personality is acting like a 13 year old girl, so not even an actual woman.

After a high of around 83 in April 2016 (when the boycott started) it tanked and didn’t reach that level again until September 2018, held steady for a couple of months then tanked again until recovering in June 2019 and gaining some ground. Post covid and beyond demand finally drove it really high, but now it’s trending lower since a huge drop in May 2023. Still much higher than the boycott days though.
So if you’re looking solely at stock price as an indicator of effect (which it isn’t, directly) the boycott hammered their stock for a relatively long time, arguably 3 years.

Frick. I just bought a new LSU shirt that I can't bring myself to wear now because everytime I put it on, I'm going to picture this freak dancing around.
