DUIs are definitely trashy for all ages but ESPECIALLY for people who are out of college. I mean get it together and call a cab or an Uber, its not that hard.

Ya frick them! Just because their kids were killed by drunk drivers doesn't mean they should try to get drunks off of the road, filthy whores!

Ya, no big deal at all even though thousands died every year because of it.

I have none, but I think the first one should be a minor offense.

funny, I was thinking about it. I have one friend who had one, he also had a Vehicular Homicide charge too. But no one else I know has had a DUI/DWI.

Maybe because we were all more druggies than drinkers.

There was much less of a stigma 30 years ago when I was in high school. It was commonplace. And we rarely wore seat belts back then also. I am ashamed to admit that from the age of 16 to 26, I lost count of the number of times I vaguely remember driving home from some locale. I am extremely fortunate that I didn't kill myself or others during that time.

The bar association and medical boards of Louisiana do not agree.

I've never gotten one. I don't drink and drive at all anymore. I don't want to kill anyone or myself. And I don't want to risk potentially fricking my life up. It would suck if I lived somewhere like the northshore with no cabs. But then again, it would suck in general to live on the northshore.

If they're more common in LA it's because they're NBD. There aren't any real consequences unless you're poor. I'd say about half my friends have gotten one at some point. A few of them had good enough connections that the whole thing vanished and they were on their way in hours. Louisiana politics.

Most of my friends in California have gotten at least one. And it is a big deal there.

Drinking and driving is fun! Turn the head lights off, let go of the wheel and let's see where this shite goes.

IT IS A HUGE DEAL BECAUSE

We have the highest imaginable auto insurance rates!

Not to mention the number of people driving our roads that have multiple violations

I live near their hq. Seems like a higher up of theirs makes the news around here for getting a dui at least every other year.

I never get caught. I think I may even drive better with a 12 pack pumped down.

I think so. There's a guy in the River Parishes running for judge who has three DWI convictions and nobody even talks about it.

I know one guy who blew a.09 and claimed to get out of getting a DUI.

I personally think he's full of shite, especially since he was given a career-ending reprisal as a result.
