Video is on Facebook hopefully someone will post it on X because it’s a fun video to examine.
On January 24, 2026, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Third District officers responded to a call in the 200 block of South Roadway Street and located a subject unlawfully operating a docked marine vessel. The subject, identified as Aaron Matthew, attempted to flee by boat, striking multiple vessels and docks before docking and fleeing on foot, where he was apprehended without incident.
Matthew was arrested and charged with:
One count of LA R.S. 14:67 – Theft (All Other Larceny) in the amount of $500,000
One count of LA R.S. 14:56 – Simple Criminal Damage to Property in the amount of $70,000;
The boat collisions are being handled by Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries.

You are at a shared harbor? Ooff, only dock at my private Baltic hideout, always chopper into Nantucket, Carmel or Sochi. Wouldnt want any poors to lay their eyes on my boat.
