But do they have a flamethrower?

Man the Drug Cartels... Those cats are savages. The people blowing up shite for ISIS are a bunch of weak minded jackasses that can be talked into blowing themselves up in public places. When the going gets rough, I want the dudes from the cartels.

No offense, but this is probably the typical ignorant belief by most Americans.
Iran supporting ISIS? Is this why so many people are up in arms about the nuclear deal? Iran has its many issues we should be concerned about. Supporting ISIS is not one. They probably hate ISIS more than we do.
I think the cartels are smarter. The only "true believers" in ISIS are some of the ignorant poors they use as suicide fodder. The Baathist leadership just uses religion to control those clowns. These guys are former Saddam generals just using ignorant, non-educated Koran-beaters to do their dirty work.

I know. That's what I said.

I'm just going to assume that Saudi, Iraq, Iran, etc support ISIS in some way
Iran may be supporting ISIS in some sort of convoluted backroom political deal but those guys don't exactly see eye to eye with ISIS.

Don't be duped, those ISIS leaders are as much about money and power as they are about religion.
Sure, the dumbass suicide bombers are all religion, but not their bosses.
The ability to get others to mindlessly die is a huge factor that heavily favors ISIS. That helps them in their controlled territory as well as abroad. Even the coke cartels of the 80's only targeted their enemies abroad and not random innocent civilians (yes, I know there was collateral damage).

If we're talking a straight up battle between the two, ISIS would obliterate the Cartels. That is unless the Cartels can come up with an answer to a military force equipped with weapons like this....
I'm sure they can afford to buy them from us, rather than having to steal them from the Iraqi's like ISIS. There was the whole Fast and Furious thing, after all.

The cartels cumulatively have/make probably 50x or more money than ISIS itself. If the estimates on Chapo are close, then he alone would have more money than ISIS. They could potentially buy most military type weapons in the world if they needed.

ISIS can sling quite a bit more lead (as well as bigger lead) downrange. ISIS armor and artillery assets can't be remotely matched by all the cartels combined.

This is definitely true and if they wanted/needed them, they could have them but it stems from necessity. ISIS needs this type of weaponry to operate. The cartels need saran wrap, duck tape and an AK to get their jobs done.

We're talking about current capabilities. Your point is irrelevant
