1. Leave it alone - by rule, the 3 best fries exist in the bottom of the bag.
2. Grab it *if* my fat hand goes through god knows what and eat it.
3. Vacuum it out
4. Let the dogs find a late treat
5. Leave if for my next car sale

6. Go to the backseat and grab it from the bottom and while at same time, cash in some quarters.

6. Contemplate your life choices because you chose McDonalds over any other fast-food joint.

I threw one under a booth in a McDonalds in Carlsbad New Mexico in November of 2014. In October of 2018 it was still there. Still looked exactly the same as it did the day I tossed it under there. In 4 years they had not swept or mopped far enough under that booth to eradicate the fry. I would almost bet it is still there 10 years later.
I did this as an experiment. I had gone into this McDonalds in early October of 2014 and had to piss. I went into the bathroom and the toilet was backup and appeared to have been for some time. I told them about it on the off chance they did not know, and they assured me they did indeed know. It stayed that way until sometime in January of 2015. I tossed that fry under the booth to see how long it would stay there. It stayed until we moved in 2018. Around 2016 or so McDonald's threatened to close the franchisee's 2 locations in Carlsbad and Artesia due to improper maintenance. They posted signs at both locations asking customers to let them know if the stores were doing better. I called them and told them about the fry. It was still there 2 years later. McDonalds apparently felt like the owners had made sufficient progress in maintaining the stores...neither was closed and are both still open today....and that fry is most likely still there.
The truly disturbing part of this is the Eddy County health department consistently graded both stores in the high 90s. This franchisee had a third location in Carlsbad in a convenience store and it was so nasty it was shut down several times by the county.

I worked at McDonalds a LOOOONG time ago when I was in high school.
At least back then, those places were so clean you could eat off the floor. Those floors were swept and mopped 5x a day, maybe more.
I'm calling BS on your claim here but times may have changed.

Its true. I agree, back in the day most McDonald's were well maintained but many are not today. One of the more notable things I noticed when living in New Mexico and spending a lot of time in west Texas is folks are not as apt to keep their places of business as clean as they do on the east coast. New Mexico is particularly bad. There are 2 Waffle Houses in Albuquerque and one in Aurora Colorado owned by the same owner and they would shut them down in a second if they were in metro Atlanta....and Waffle Houses tend to be pretty nasty anywhere....Even Chick Fil A's in New Mexico would make a Krystal in west Atlanta look like a shrine to cleanliness....

Next time I have to fish out my phone from down there, I'll be rewarded with a little snack

Why is that gap so fricking big?

Hell, it is a McDonald's fry. Get it whenever you feel like it, maybe when you're feeling peckish whilst stuck in traffic in a few months. It'll last forever.

Leave it
It won’t rot because of the preservatives
