An Arizona-based Taser-developer has halted plans to manufacture drones equipped with stun guns to combat mass shootings. The move by Axon Enterprise came after most of its ethics advisory board announced their resignation in protest over the plan. Nine of the 12 members quit over concerns that it would harm over-policed communities and that it was announced without their consultation.

The company initially said it was working on a drone that would allow first responders to remotely fire a Taser at a target from 40 feet away. Smith said the drones could be stationed in hallways and move into rooms and through vents. The system would cost a school district $1,000 annually, he said.

We just need flash bang fire alarms. Pull the alarm and the entire school gets concussed. Hopefully the police aren’t Uvalde PD and respond quick enough.

Or, you know, we could lock up these fricking psychos who openly announce their intentions on social media before they start shooting.

Not as cool as a taser and won’t make anyone a profit, but it’s worked in the past.

I'm having trouble understanding this...how would it harm "overpoliced communities"?

They know the drones wouldn't be deployed into schools unless parents were protesting vaccinations, critical race theory or transgender athletes.
