Do people really not get it that this is extremely dangerous, even to drive just a little bit? Yet, I see it almost every day on my commute. If you do this, you are asking for a head-on collision.

In Dutchtown that's just the passing lane. Or extra lane.

What I'm saying is: people in Dutchtown still haven't figured out paved roads and how to use them.

sorry, my car doesn't move horizontally.

Gotta speed up to merge and slow down so as not to stall traffic.

Hwy 30 can kiss my arse.

Drivers slow-poke through there while a center lane is there for the taking? I’m blowing by them and it’s their fault for being inconsiderate.

Entering in to slow down before you make your turn is much better than someone who slows down IN their travel lane then turns into and straddles the turning lane, while still sticking out into traffic.

While you are slowing down, a car from the opposite direction traveling behind another car could pull into the turning lane to take a left and hit you head-on. They would not even be able to see you. Have fun dying.

Does this not happen on Jefferson Hwy on a regular basis? I've had quite a few close calls by center lane travelers. They end up having to re-enter traffic and get back into the turn lane.

It's not called the "suicide lane" for nothing.

One day I'm waiting to see someone traveling a mile down the turn lane and rear end someone who pulls out in front of them for the turn at the correct spot. I will make sure I stick around as a witness to tell the officer the dipshit was using the turn lane improperly as his roadway.

Nothing like being in the turning lane actually trying to turn and pissing off someone because you are impeding their travel.

My option would be to take some other route. I detest Siegen Lane and College Drive.
