CHP said the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.

Okay kids - so NOW will you wear your fricking seatbelts?

RIP, but there is a teaching point here:

A. Don't drive recklessly - that can easily kill you, and

2. ALWAYS wear a seatbelt, because some other motherfricker might be out there driving recklessly.

i get that but, did he pull the eject lever or something?

If you're asking, "Did he activate some sort of explosive ejection seat in his car?" - well, no.

Did his actions have the same practical effect as an ejection seat? I would have to give that a big "Yes."

Speed kills....

No, speed doesn't kill--bad and inattentive drivers cause accidents which may result in fatalities.

I worked EMS fulltime for over 20 years and have seen some weird things. Found a body about 20 feet up in a tree at an accident scene one night. Vehicles and the forces involved in a collision or rollover can do unbelievable and unexpected things to a body. Reality has been much stranger than fiction.

I have to agree with several posters...99% of the time, the seatbelt is your friend.

Edit to say: Speed does not kill. It is the sudden stop that kills.

CORRECTION: It was previously reported that the vehicle was a Prius. Police now say it was a Ford Focus.

"A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign;..." Matthew 16:4

Or "Here's your sign."
