As a PE specializing in traffic operations (including professional witness gigs), the Raptor isn't getting off Scott-free. His aggressive acceleration was in reaction to the Accord and not done to safely rectify the situation.....it was retaliatory.

Yea, but if I’m passing a truck going 60 and I’m doing 70, I’m not going to accelerate to 90 because your dumbass is driving 20 over the limit in the left. That’s not how it works.

The reason why there is a limit is because if everyone follows it like they are supposed to, there would be no problems. You will have your occasional trucker going 60-65 in the right so you just pass him on the left at 70 then move back over until you come across the next one. It’s really simple, but people driving 85-90 complicate it.

Retarded take. Maybe you didn't read the article (ask the adult in your household to help you out) but it clearly stated the car's driver was reckless before the video was started. Nothing that F150 was doing forced the moron in the Accord to whip through traffic. Grow up.

But it's not he F150's place to purposely impede traffic based on his perception that the Honda driver is going too fast or being reckless. Get over, call 911, and tell the police there's a reckless driver in a Honda at whatever mile marker. Taking the law into your own hands (with the result being a car wreck that easily could have been worse for the truck driver) is not the way to go. That's a "grow up" moment too. Are we actually trying to promote safety or are we just being spiteful?

Well I don't have to prove it, the video proves he floored it. If he was passing and not being a jerk he should have just finished passing the vehicle and not floored it. By flooring it he is proving to me that he had intent to slow down the idiot at first and then cut him off again. We don't know what happened before the video starts, that's the $1mil question.

I see you and the circle jerk brigade are still here defending backing up traffic in the left lane because you're "passing", yet refusing to move over to the right lane after you've passed a vehicle even though there is a line of cars behind you wanting to go faster than you.

then move back over

The issue here is that people don't move back over. They stay in the left lane because "I'm going to eventually have to pass that car further up on the right".

So you get a mile long train of cars in the left lane because one chucklefrick won't get the frick out of the left lane.

The Honda driver obviously crazy but I did notice the truck driver sped way up when the Honda started trying to pass on the shoulder as if to cut it off. Smarter move by the truck would have been to maintain speed or slow down and let that a-hole ahead and away. It could have easily been worse for the truck.

Says the guy still in the same thread.

You're the type of shitbag that stays in the left lane going 66 passing the right lane going 65 for miles, while car after car piles up behind you. You could get over, but you don't because...well....you're a shitbag.

You have proof that the F150 purposely impeded traffic here? No, you don't. You have nothing but a few seconds of video and apparently have discounted the fact that the Accord driver was driving aggressively before the video starts.

Ever occur to you the F150 driver was trying to get clear zone in order to safely merge into the right lane. Maybe you don't think about this, but when I pass a vehicle on a multi-lane highway I don't immediately merge back into a right lane if that will put me into the blind spot of another vehicle who might start merging into the same lane at the same time. If you want to play the safety angle then I suggest you play it all the way.

The video shows him passing the dark SUV, with plenty of room to get back over to the right lane. In fact the dark SUV exits the roadway, giving the F150 driver a completely unobstructed right lane to move back over in to.

But he doesn't.

All of your are (correctly) criticizing the honda driver for tail gaiting, then illegally passing in the median. That's fair.

Yet you also completely ignore the truck driver sitting in the left lane, not yielding to faster traffic behind him when he can clearly do so. Slower traffic keep right.

Unless you're a F150 driver apparently.

Well it’s not smart. You want idiot a-hole drivers far away from you, not buzzing behind getting more crazy by the second.

You’re prolonging the length of time that the idiot is in close enough proximity to you to cause you a serious accident.

If I said the truck should have simply called the police on the Accord due to the Accord's antics, how exactly is that "discounting" the aggressive driving of the Accord?

How does the duration of the Accord's antics affect whether or not the truck is justified in its actions? It doesn't.
