When i worked in freight brokerage we would bring in drinks from lunch. As long as we hit our goals and nobody got shitfaced the boss was cool with it.

If you have never drank at work then you either work with the public, work with important equipment, or don't have a very intense job. High stress demands booze on occasion.
Eta: not talking about clandestine boozing. I mean a couple of scotches at 8pm on Friday with the rest of the office.
Eta: I guess a few of you teetotalers have never drank with your colleagues at the office.

Everyone knows that drinking alcohol at work is for losers. Why get drunk and loose your coordination and rational thinking, when you can smoke you some weed and get increase your creativity and production? Alcohol is the devils water, and weed is gods preferred choice.

If I need one, I'm not above a cocktail at 9 am.

Depends on the job. Heavy construction, bad idea. Insurance sales, who gives a shite as long as you produce.

When I started my first hardware store I had a fridge full of beer. Rule was on Friday’s 1 beer after 2 pm. Then an employee got in an accident and I got sued. We had to stop it.
I also had a partner that made a rule if you got a nooner then you had time off for it. We had to stop that when we hired a contract HR company to set up policy’s and SOP.

I used to own a dry cleaning store, we had a keg cooler and a Margarita machine there, we were pretty popular, never had any troubles, thank God

Had a temp job at an oilfield company in Abbeville that brewed their own beer. Every Friday from 4 to 5 p.m., the employees gathered around a cold keg to enjoy the home brew. Always thought that was the coolest thing.

I drink at work everyday since I work from home.

I read a study recently that supported “drinking can increase creative thinking”.
IIRC, .02-.05 BAL was the sweet spot. Too much and the artists become sloppy and lazy. Too little, and their work was uninspired and boring.

Typical Friday:
1. Start with a few beers at 3 pm
2. By 5pm bust out the whiskey
3. Do a couple of lines in the bathroom
4. End up at tittie bar till 3 am
Wake up Saturday hung over and start day drinking at 11 am
This is what I did back when I was in sales and 20 something

I had an old refrigerator that we turned into a keg cooler. But this was we were self-employed. Hard part was getting that keg up the stairs.

Drinking on the clock is generally acceptable at lunch (one, maybe two drinks, max) or in your office after 5pm if you're working late (no limit, just make sure you can still drive home). I'm not making a judgment about it, just giving my sense of what's accepted.
