Men tuck. Boys don’t.

How's everybody going to see your Urban Cowboy buckle if you don't?

I’ve been dressing like a member of CTU since season 1 of 24. That said, think about untucked as only being one step above a t-shirt. I’d avoid untucked for any semi-formal occasion unless you want to look like a kid or out-of-touch aging movie producer that just got out of his 7th marriage.

awesome, your kids make decisions for you, I'm sure you're quite the leader for your household

Doofus, that's just a button-down collar, which is common on Oxford shirts. Sure, it's not a formal shirt, but it is a dress shirt.
Are you going to tell me that cuffed slacks aren't dress pants because they historically weren't worn on formal occasions?
You can absolutely wear the shirt in the first picture that you posted with jeans. Hell, the guy in your pic is wearing it with cotton chinos. Those are hardly dress pants.
You're an idiot.

My "kids" are 26 and 23, douchebag.
Noone makes decisions for me. We were discussing what they were going to be wearing and they asked me what I was going to wear since we were discussing how country this event is going to be. And the fact that it will be taking place outside in a country setting.
I always tuck my button-down shirts in whether I'm wearing jeans or slacks.

I'm wearing a long sleeve button down dress shirt, jeans and Justins and wondering if I should tuck it in or leave it out?
So you were just wasting people’s time?

Pretty much what TD is for during work hours.
Are you going to rat me out now and get me in trouble with mom and dad?
I know what I do, I wanted to see the general opinion of what others think is appropriate to wear in this situation.

Nobody that knows how to dress would ever wear a dress shirt with jeans. I hope you wear Oxford dress shoes with this getup to complete the ultimate douche look

Then you have the dick bags acting like they never saw rural people that wear jeans and boots and button downs and cowboys hats to weddings and funerals. You ever stepped foot outside the city? Do you live in New York City or something? What rock have you been living under the past 20 years? This is what most rural people do now.
I grew up in rural Louisiana, still visit small towns very often and have been to weddings in small towns (hell I was married in a town of ~10k). All of these weddings were formal, yes there was an occasional frickstick wearing jeans, but the vast majority of folks were in at a minimum business casual (ie not jeans and untucked shirts).

Fair enough. Maybe it’s just a texas rancher cowboys thing. I would wager something like 1/3 or 1/4 weddings that occur in Texas, the “suit” everybody will be wearing is dark wranglers, a button down (tucked in for the OP) square toe boots (yuck) and a cowboy hat.
I’m not a big fan of it either. I’m actually shocked that this isn’t a big thing outside of texas. I will rescind my previous statement
