But it’s abandonment of someone who is struggling with emotional issues. Why is leaving someone who is “sick” so much better? I understand why cheating is bad but I don’t understand how you can say that abandonment is better.
My grandfather left his family of four young kids and young wife and moved away so my mom and her brothers never knew her dad. I can tell you she would have loved for him to be a cheater instead of not there.
You haven’t really thought this through have you.

Marriage is not a relationship, it’s a commitment.
