No worries! They were all very valid concerns. Not like you were just drive by flaming me like some others did early on.

The dumpling recipe is... let's just say on hold right now.

If I am having bad heart problems there are a lot worse that I could go to.

When he talks strait up medical, his opinion is as valid as other MD's

I dont think he is lying. Not saying I would take any advice from him but many people in my area had what they thought was the flu but very bad back beginning in November.

Got tested but was negative for flu, bad cough, trouble breathing, high fever. They were given medicine to treat the symptoms and sent home.

All of them recovered within 2-3 weeks

Sounds to me like it's been around just not known and most people just got over it once it ran its course just like the common cold

Yeah, if a ton of people have it with little to no symptoms, then we are raging for no reason.

i.e. 100 people tw6sted positive and 10 died... OMG 10% DEATH RATE!

But it's likely more that 1000 people got, but only 100 showed enough to get tested, so it's more like the regular flu.

We won't know until it's over, but I'm thinking we're destroying our economy for nothing but CYA "safety first"

Spoke with a nurse at a local pediatrician's office this morning, and she said that her parents thought they had the flu last November. They were tested and results came back negative for the flu. She know thinks it may have been COVID-19. Her parents are elderly and they recovered.

We just had an OT thread where everyone jerked off Dr Oz like a few days ago but now we don’t like him?
For the doubters

And by everyone, you mean a 1 page thread where roughly a handful of people said nice things about him?

EVERYONE!!!!

We have genetic tracing where they can go back and tell us exactly where a case came from and when.

Honest question: how do they do this? I mean if you were in a cab and before that an airport terminal and before that a hotel gym ... how do you trace it? Totally curious.

This is the problem with dr. Oz’s statement. Everyone is going to think their last cold was COVID

Yes they are still in lockdown. I guess once my MiL is able to re-open her factory things will be getting back to normal for them. That should be soon.. but nobody knows for sure

Volvagia can explain it better but basically they track minor mutations in the genetic code. It’s like retracing bread crumbs to piece together a trail back to the source.

Not saying he’s right or wrong but when we got back from NOLA after the National Championship the wife and 3 of our neighbors in our group were all sick for over a week with the same thing. None tested positive for flu. It is very possible.

They are thinking the cold they have last month was COVID. It’s simply not true.

Literally about 7 of 10 people I have talked to have decided on their own that they probably already had it.

He has training and professional credentials that probably put him in the top 3% of physicians in his specialty.

I'm not a fan of his but I agree. It's not like this just showed up on our shores 2 weeks ago. Anyone who had the symptoms but tested negative for the flu in Jan and Feb possibly had it.
