so you didnt read the study congrats...and this ladies and gentlemen is why you see the BS that is posted on the OT. too busy to read the fricking study.
but ill engage on the drinking soda part...those on the NNS beverage showed high compliance to the diet( all where on a diet and trying to lose weigh or maintain weight loss in that time) and that is what helped them lose weight
I see there was around a 2 kilo difference over about year. I would still think the person drinking water over diet sodas would be much healthier. Not sifting through an entire study but water weight is a big thing, were the folks drinking diet sodas as equally hydrated?

I do not need some dumbasses in gov't telling me what I can eat and should not eat.
Fruit Loops are bad for me. I like them, so I eat them about once a month. I do not care how much sugar is in them, now go away.

The point is that our FDA allows many things that are not allowed in other countries.
They also don’t allow many things that are allowed in other countries. We also have much stricter laws around the labels and ingredient listing than most of Europe and other countries. Not saying that is everything in this case, but a ton of these have been debunked showing that either our labels just list an ingredient differently than over there, or that they are just allowed to not have it listed, but it is still in the product.

who cares? You nor your kids shouldnt be eating fricking fruit loops anyways, not at any appreciable rate. Dont eat that shite and if you do, well....you deserve anything that comes to you.
feed your kids eggs and meat like uncured bacon, steak, ground beef, homemade sausage, some potatoes and some fruit in some form in the morning
shite isnt hard.
You were born knowing what food was and wasn't good for you? Were your parents born that way?
Do your kids reject the birthday cake and ice cream because they know its unhealthy?

no but i was active enough to be able to have it and not worry about it nor did i have it everyday
great straw man, im sure we havent had any education on this and im sure the FDA is out there saying birthday cake is the key to health

down wings dipped in ranch
I think I make pretty healthy wings, as for fried food go.
I just salt and pepper the drum and winglets and fry in peanut oil until super crispy.
My Italian wings are just olive oil, fresh basil, fresh oregano, thyme and fresh garlic. I mix the crispy fried wings in a bowl with olive oil and herbs. This is a good flavor for everyone because it's not too spicy.
My hot wings are the same crispy wings mixed with the hot wing sauce that is just melted butter and a bottle of Crystal hot sauce...and I mean their new hot Hot sauce not the regular Crystal hot sauce.
They are hit every time.

I was lucky. My mom was a health nut. She taught us how to cook healthy and soft drinks were banned from the house.

I'm not asking about you. I'm asking about your children. They have an innate sense that sweets are "bad" and must only be had very sparingly, if at all?
You didn't impart that on them in anyway? They were just born with that knowledge?

bloodwork didnt show that

come on man. if anything diet soda would cause more water retention so fat loss would have been even greater
Posted on 9/25/24 at 1:35 pm to JohnnyKilroy
of course i imparted that on them. but they also pick it up from the world around them
but in the end im not saying we are born with it. the FDA isnt out there saying ice cream is great...
the point was, 99% of people know how to eat healthy, they just dont. and if you are at such a low iq that you dont know...well cant be helped anyways
cant fix everyone

MSG is banned or restricted in around 50 countries. It is in nearly every processed food in America. So you don't eat processed foods? Good but FYI if you eat out at a high-end restaurant you will probably consume MSG. The point is that many of these additives are hard to avoid even with good intentions of doing so.
I’m all for harmful things not going into food, but MSG gets an unfair rap in terms of negative health side effects.

It's kind of funny because in term of health we are kind of arguing around the margins. If I had to guess 80% of health outcomes are genetic.
Just like all the doctors say, "it's genetics".

very much disagree
well...unless we are arguing IQ being a part of the health outcome equation

So how the hell do you? I guess buying as fresh as you can, planning out your weekly cooking. Still, that's tough to do and stay consistent.
