Just hit the news. How many employees work there? Could be Ground Zero for Badon Ruudge. If it starts runs through plant baws Lord help us. Good thing we’ve got great local leadership to handle it.

I’m still puzzled how state agency employees aren’t considered at risk. Some of them are packed in cubes like sardines in a can. And certainly more than a few with family in the high risk countries (although according to our MSM, that’s the US).
Back to OP, some plants certainly have large gatherings every day. Going to make having safety meetings a challenge.

All our safety and training meetings (at least 2 month) have been cancelled until further notice. Operations will continue as normal.
I work at a small facility, so there are only 2 people in our control room at a time.

How many of you guys have basically quarantined your control rooms? VERY limited access right now. Even a larger plant has a limited number of controllers and lead operators that really know their stuff. And this isn’t a time to bring back recently retired annuitants like we normally do that would be in the higher risk group. Interesting times.

Same deal. Control rooms here are strictly off limits unless you must access. Check in and out via phone. Stay away otherwise. All outside visitors are cancelled until further notice. Site management is exploring scheduling changes to keep people away from one another yet keep them coming to work. Nights, weekends, etc. I can go 100% work from home but they’re doing everything possible to avoid that for now.

Same here... control rooms restricted. We still have contractors here for now, but they have to call us outside. All non-essential personnel (admin) are work from home.

More and more plants are sending non-essential employees to work from home. We are quickly finding out how many things are done by third party contractors. For anyone that doubts the industry claims about how many indirect jobs our plants create, pay attention to how many non-plant employees are out of work over the next few weeks.
