Alternating is not the purpose of a double drive through, it's based on speed. You got done first, you go first. That's the entire point to process as many people as fast as possible... He is the dickbag, you did it right.

Since when do double drive thru lanes let the two lanes order at the same time? Anywhere I've been always alternates lanes one at a time. It's just double laned to allow more people in line.

Ok, so your in a motor vehicle merging right? Do I need to explain how to merge? The question for debate is who ordered first? Does it matter? What if both order at the same time? What if one person does not pay attention on who ordered first? Just to avoid confusion, problems, etc, perhaps normal driving rules should be applied in this situation.
