I'd join Sally and sell sea shells by the seaside.

I'm that way myself. So I do my hobby as a gig every once in a while when I'm not fishing ot taking care of the animals, I'm building furniture and cabinets.

We met a woman that was celebrating her 43rd birthday, last night. Since practically no one is "from" SWFL, we started chatting and she said she hailed from the Bronx and had been down here for about 8 years. When I asked what she did for a living, she laughed and said "Well, I am married to a rather wealthy man, so I don't technically have to work.
did you ask her if she was also a home wrecker?

Selfish broad.

She cares more about her own psychological need for work and thinks it’s ok to cock block some person who needs the opportunity for personal development and needs the paycheck more.

Tell her you lost respect for her.

If you have a psychological need for that, volunteer.

There’s tons of people like that in SWFL. I live in Estero and the Publix is filled with senior citizen baggers who just want something to do or interaction.

I think I’d probably drive Uber occasionally if I wasn’t concerned about money if I just wanted something to do. From 2018-2022 I did it a lot and had lot of fun. It felt like a real social life doing it around FGCU. Something to stimulate your mind. It I was gonna do something more meaningful I’d probably volunteer at hospital.

2.5 months from retiring. Not sure what to do next. I won't need to work, so I am going to take some time to do things with my dad (in his 70s), but I think I will have to do something. Looking at substitute teaching or advising for the local college, but who knows.
