It probably just depends on what actually happened.
If the white kid just walked up and punched him, then he'll get off on some lesser charge.
If the stories of the black kid instigating the white kid to punch him are true, then he's going to the big house for the rest of his life.

Shelby Steele is spot on with black American culture and behavior with this quote. And they prove him right over, and over, and over.
quote:
"No other American ethnic group-certainly not Asians or Latinos-defines itself so thoroughly around a stance of opposition to the larger society, or elevates its most alienated and dysfunctional elements as emblems of its virtue."

Hang ‘em. Only appropriate course of action.

Metcalf's family should sue for that money

This is why a lot of people will never take the blacks cry for equality seriously.

This one is on GiveSendGo, not GoFundMe.

I’m starting to worry that this kid is going to get off
He won't. But as I stated in several of the other threads on this same topic, he will not be convicted of 1st degree murder. He will plead down, or be convicted of something less than 1st degree.

There are at least 2 for the victim's family.
The dad's GoFundMe is at least $240K.
The mom's GoFundMe is at least $100K.

If true, that wasn’t just a word, it was a weapon.
Im as pasty white as they come and Ive been called this before. Just so I have this straight….if confronted by a pillar of the community and they use this word towards me, its a weapon? Got it. Good luck to the guy bringing a word to a gunfight

can someone say if the knife was allowed at the event? People keep saying he didnt have it illegally
There are differences between laws and school rules. Could be that there is a rule against it, but not a violation of the law. That is a subtlety that seems to be lost on a lot of people.

I am less sure on if being 17 and a student affects the legality on bringing and concealing any blade length to a school/district event or onto school/district property.
He has not been charged (yet) with any violation related to the knife, other then the murder itself.
If being in possession of the knife was a crime, the DA would have stacked that on. He may still do that, but it has not happened yet.

You’d need to read the article to know that is irrelevant, though. This money is being raised on GiveSendGo.
Exactly. People are simply reading the headline and jumping to incorrect conclusions.

The kid bringing a knife to a fricking track meet tells you all you need to know about him. Honestly sounds premeditated, or at the very least he was looking for a fight.

Like I have said before, the most violent demographic in the country is also gets its feelings hurt quite easily. All it takes is repeating a rap song back and that is justification for YOUR death

I said it in the initial thread this was going to be brought up.
It’s the “go to” to justify whatever happened.
