on many message boards there is a substantial amount of dissing the idea of financial support for the Bahamas . which may be a valid thought. today and for the next several months money has no value in the Bahamas simply because there are no goods and services to purchase. I took a total loss with Harvey in Rockport 2 years ago. had no clothes left. but within 48 hours thousands of support people showed up with equipment, building materials, food, water etc. volunteers.....that will not happen in Bahamas... they are much more messed up than I was, because recovery assistance will be wanting. the fed govt could best support by setting up a sealift of supplies, not unlike that to support a relief invasion. they got the coastal vessels less dependent on docks that may have been destroyed,

All those things cost money. Money that people donate to buy all those things. You think supplies are free just because it’s a disaster?

People are donating to organizations that will provide the things you mentioned. Not straight money to the victims

I don’t think you understand how these donations work.

It’s hard to be much dumber than OweO.

You make OweO look like Einstein.

probably got no experience with it. [sarcacism for the slow group] but if it turns out as expected over the weekend I will gladly recycle this thread with the new info.

Just don't ever ask any of us to replace your trailer when it gets damaged after a storm.
