No but if you go around bragging that you are a US Navy Seal, and talking like a badass you'll meet Mr. Shipley guaranteed. You'd have a better chance of getting away with slapping a hells angels patch on your back than a SEAL trident if you didn't earn it.

He cares (and so do I) because great men busted their asses in order to earn the honor of Navy Seall. Some of those men gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and their brothers. When people pretend to be a part of that small band of brothers, it diminishes that hard work and those that sacrificed their lives.
If you served, don't be a douche about it, but be proud. If you didn't, don't pretend you did. Go to your local recruiter and sign up.

I understand you go thru training and become a seal its big deal and I would be pissed if a poser who didn't earn it said he was a
I been in the army and what's wrong with being a cook, truck driver, clerk, combat engineer, mechanic, infantry man, etc. Someone has to do these jobs to make it all work.
I don't understand why everyone wants to say they are a special forces guy when they weren't.
