Just going to throw this random tid bit in, Amy went to St Catherine for grammar school and the school and the church both honored her and are proud.

Due to this and her dad being a deacon(he may have recently retired) the purple haired tattoo mob has been protesting outside the church on Sundays. It was probably a group of 10 or so of these losers in the beginning, but last time I went it was 2 or 3.

You mean the dance team (debs)? They danced at Brother Martin for a while.

I’ve seen them out there and it is hilarious to see in Old Metairie. So lame.

I won’t go into specifics but I literally just got the numbers and this whole thread premise is bullshite.

The 8th grade class is not 87, lol. Not even close. The school did see a slight and I mean SLIGHT decline. That is mainly due to not lowering standards to meet quotas.

Dominican has always been and always will be a school that demands excellence. Those things will not change in order to plus up a class. If those things are ever compromised, my kid and my checks will be going elsewhere.

You have access to the number of applicants?

This coupled with crime and a large number of families leaving Orleans Parish hasn’t helped matters either.

None of this is true.

A large majority of their enrollment comes from Jefferson Parish.
And 8th grade hasn’t never been a large class.
And the school has always been in that spot.
My sister, cousins and friends all graduated from Dominican from mid 90’s to early 2000’s. The crime was WAY worse around Hollygrove, Pigeon town and Gert town than it is today, no matter how social media fills your brains like a jelly donut.

I swear I think some of y’all make shite up as you go.

I wouldn’t even think 87 is that low anyway. Admission numbers have been slowly declining at Catholic schools for years. Certainly not because of “woke” teachers.

Not to derail things, but that’s how dumb this is…abortion wasn’t outlawed in the ruling, it was merely decided it’s a states right issue instead.

“States rights” was the same bullshite line Democrats used to keep slavery legal. Abortion is no different from that
