Like I said earlier, I think it is more that ACHS rising up than anything else. DHS really hasn’t changed much imo but there are only so many students to go around. ACHS built a lot of momentum with how they handled Covid and just built on it. They also have been doing a great job reaching out to alumnae to get them involved.

They are about to redo their library also. It’s gonna be amazing. Glad they are updating the school. Some of places in that school are old and so dated. It’s such a great school. I don’t want to live in the Nola area but I would have loved to have sent my girls there.

You are overstating this. They didn’t really do anything special except follow when JP loosened restrictions.
ACH was on a pretty good upward trajectory before then.

Isn’t Domenican on St. Charles near Broadway?

You are thinking of the old Domenican College (my wife is an alum). It was purchased by Loyola and is now Loyola Law School.

Okay, that makes sense. My mother went to Dominican HS, but also went to Dominican College. I guess I was confusing the two.
I've seen the Loyola Law Library on Broadway when I go visit relatives at Lambeth House.

Is St Charles and Broadway a dangerous area now? It's raining downvotes on my original post and I'm not sure if its because I asked where Dominican was or if it was because I asked if that was a dangerous area. But the OT can be fickle!

ACHS, like Rummel, Shaw and Academy of Our Lady, is controlled by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, they weren’t doing anything different from what they were told by the Archdiocese to do regarding covid.

To be fair that's the western border of Old Metairie.

Ok can we just agree to say that ACHS getting there act together and being in JP is hurting DHS and will probably continue to hurt them bc Nola is still on a downward trajectory.

it is very true that DHS was very hesitant to make a big deal about her getting onto the Supreme Court as it would've offended some of their students and alums. It was weird.

The high school closest to St Charles and Broadway is De La Salle.

Unless Nola additional rules trumped them. Rummel and Chappelle were back to normal before the Nola Catholic Schools some of which weren’t also governed by the archdiocese.

There was definitely a difference in the JP and Orleans parish schools because of Latoya’s phase 2.2..
