Fruit smoothie? Did google say thats good baby nutria food?
Based on everything I've read about this little girl, I'm betting she has the diet down pretty well.
Cool kid sister OP.

Oh she's got it down! And she already knows she wants to be a vet. She's awesomely smart and fun to be around. That's what makes this even more funny and entertaining for me

The stories on this thread might have put it in the OT top ten for 2016. Really entertaining even if total bs.

Appreciate that sentiment and this story is 100% authentic. I will keep updating as it progresses. Will be over there Sunday morning as well.

Similar events happened to a baby flying squirrel that my brother-in-law found in the bed of his truck
I had a pet squirrel (named him Screwy) when I was in high school. I was working for a lawn service and just happened to see the squirrel fall from its nest as we were going to another yard so I took him home and raised it with a baby bottle. That squirrel would go everywhere with me and I would just put him in my front shirt pocket and he would peak out. Holy shite, talk about a panty dropping magnet too.
Funny story about Screwy the Squirrel:
One day I was inside the Hancock bank on Bluebonnet cashing my check and I had my squirrel in my pocket. As the teller was taking out money to count, Screwy jumped out of my pocket and onto the counter. The teller screamed so damn loud and threw the money in the air. I felt horrible but at the same time almost pissed on myself from laughing so much. Needless to say I was asked not to bring him to that bank anymore lol. That little guy was awesome. Unfortunately he was bitten by a spider one night and died a couple days later.
To the OP:
I hope your parents let your sister keep the little guy. It was very rewarding for me to raise a wild baby animal up to be healthy since alot of times the parents abandon the runts and it seems to be the same for your sister. Id def get it checked out by a vet though once your parents find out.

This is a damn cool story
I enjoyed reading it and the pic of her feeding it sent it over the top.
And the "Tandon" (Tanden) translation is quite funny.

Abosolutely great story, amazing pics and a real family bonus. What a great little sister, and having the confidence to confide in you and you keeping her secret. Says a lot about both of you. Thanks for sharing this.

It could be a lot worse, at least you didn't catch your sister with a Coon in her bedroom.

A few observations:
1. There simply MUST be some degree of unusual smell in a bedroom that is now a home of a rat of that size.
2. A rat of that size will cause some degree of noise trapped in a drawer all day. There must be no one in that house throughout the day.
3. There is NO WAY an adult in that house doesn't have at least some idea something is up. Has this drawer not been opened by an adult in over a month? Seems unlikely but I guess plausible.
4. Is this rat only eating twice daily? This is a 12 year old caregiver who seems savvy and who has a good vocabulary. Certainly she's in school. Is she being home schooled with access to animal throughout the day? Even if this is the case, I would believe her frequent absences during the day to care for the rat would raise even more suspicion.
5. Why did we have to wait until one week before years' end to have the best contender for thread of the year?
6. ETA: I deserve my Buzz Killington Award. Lest anyone believe I'm not totally impressed with this young saint to nature. I hope she gets everything on her Christmas list.

You need to convince her to tell your parents because your mom is going to stumble upon it and if she isn't home to let them know it is a pet, it might get killed...

Your parents allow your sister to drink monster energy?
