The Justice Department charged more than 60 healthcare providers Wednesday with illegally prescribing 32 million painkillers through fraudulent schemes involving patients they knew suffered from addiction.
“We will not stand by and allow the harmful and oftentimes deadly practice of over-prescribing highly addictive drugs to continue unchecked," FBI Executive Assistant Director Amy Hess said in a statement. "The FBI will pursue medical personnel who misuse their positions of trust to blatantly disregard others’ very lives for their own financial gain.”
Some of the doctors who were prosecuted traded drugs for sex or told patients to pick up their medications at different pharmacies so they could stockpile medications. One doctor left signed, blank prescription pads for patients to pick up even when he wasn't in the office. Another was a dentist who pulled patients' teeth in order to justify giving them painkillers.
Among those indicted were 31 doctors, eight nurse practitioners, and seven pharmacists across Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

The governments war on sick people continues. My cousin can hardly get his fibromyalgia medicine anymore and he’s sick all the time. Nausea, cold sweats, the worst
It really is a terrible disease
It really is a terrible disease

Surprised Florida isn't on there. From what I understand, it is the worst down there.

It's the doctors over prescribing this shite for kick backs that are the problem.
And yes, I have run into a problem getting simple valium for muscle spasms because of it. Took four visits, in increasingly extreme pain, before I got a doc that would prescribe it. In a situation where it was obvious I wasn't faking.

I’m pretty sure Tyler Childers wrote a song about something like this.

That's withdrawal from not having painkillers.

So just because every doctor gets to take a few free all expenses paid vacations every year you think that people should have to suffer?

On of them was my in law's neighbor. My wife was there when the FBI swept through a year ago. He goes by the name Rock Doc. He tried to get his own reality show and hired his own production crew. I drank with him before. Crazy nuts.
Here is the link to his show....

Enjoy! He sniffs panties on the show!

For every person who legitimately needs these strong pain killers is another 100 abusing them. Doctors prescribing them like candy since they are getting kick backs creates an epidemic.
The junkies and doctors get what they want, the 1% that legitimately need them get screwed.
Send every scumbag prescribing doctor to jail.
