Happend to my uncle in thev70's when he was stationed out west. Someone was changing bases and took his dog. He drove 8 hours to the base the guy transfered to to get it back. He got it back.

They just can’t deal with the truth that the dog ran away from a trashy, abusive household so they claim that someone “stole” it.

Did you read anything posted in this thread? Watch the video of the guy stealing the dog? Or are you just trying to be edgy?

one thing about this site, it usually doesn't take long for the truest, distilled form of Moron to show itself.

So, the old lady who originally surrendered the dog was behind it?

So glad they found the dog. Very cute pup.
It takes a Low life POS for stealing someone’s pet & even a bigger POS for stealing a deaf pet.
I have a cat. While some folks don’t like cats they are still part of the family.
I love both cats & dogs & if anyone stole my pet or tried to, I’d go medieval on their asses whether their 20 or 80.

I’m wondering we will see federal charges. They hired someone in Alabama to steal the dog then moved it into at least 3 other states to elude.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the details of how they tracked Rags down. Poor dog probably doesn't know whether he's coming or going after all these years.

Only one way to handle this

You can get them free at the pound, why would anyone steal a dog.
Some breeds are stolen for dog fights.

The Silverhill Police Department in Alabama got a tip that Rags was in Arizona, so they contacted the Maricopa Police Department in Arizona to investigate.
On Thursday, officers went to a home in Maricopa and found Rags.
Maricopa Police Sgt. Chance Jordan said the people inside the home were not very cooperative.
“They provided us a different name for the dog, wearing a collar with a third name on it, so it wasn’t until we were able to verify that microchip number with the serial number from the original paperwork from Alabama PD, that’s what definitely told us this is Rags,” he said.
Shortly after Rags disappeared last year, there were reports of a custody battle involving the special needs sheepdog, who is deaf.
Rags’ original owners before Gardner had put Rags up for adoption, then months later filed a lawsuit to get him back.
Maricopa police confirmed that the people who had Rags in Arizona are connected to Rags’ original owners back in Alabama.
The exact motive behind the dog napping is under investigation.
“It’s a good question that I hope one day I can get an answer for,” Gardner said. “Maybe I won’t, but all I know is that Rags is very missed by his family here, and we are ready to get him home.”
Gardner is expected to fly to Arizona in the next couple of days to bring Rags home.

The house that the police found Rags at was purchased in mid-October. It is Valued at $375k, but they negotiated it to $400k.
I hope they lose it because they are residing in the Graybar Hotel.
I also hope the old couple and Tatoo get time.

What's sad is that it didn't seem like the old couple even had the dog in Arizona. Of course, I don't know the fine details, but it comes off like the couple would rather the adoptees not have the dog than anyone else just out of spite.

Depending on further details, the AZ people are also getting ripped off if they thought they were getting a dog legitimately and their kids get to watch him being seized because he was stolen, that's a negative childhood memory. If they were defrauded, more charges for the old people.
