If you stay away from them there is nothing to be scared of, but what I don't understand is.. 9/11 was an attack on US soil right? Just under 5k people died on that day then there were people who died at some point after, which was a result of 9/11 (whether it was suicide, etc) and it resulted in a war that lasted 20 years.

Well this is the number from the cdc website.

quote:

Provisional data from CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics indicate that there were an estimated 100,306 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 12-month period ending in April 2021, an increase of 28.5% from the 78,056 deaths during the same period the year before.

The new data documents that estimated overdose deaths from opioids increased to 75,673 in the 12-month period ending in April 2021, up from 56,064 the year before. Overdose deaths from synthetic opioids (primarily fentanyl) and psychostimulants such as methamphetamine also increased in the 12-month period ending in April 2021. Cocaine deaths also increased, as did deaths from natural and semi-synthetic opioids (such as prescription pain medication).

The title of this is
Drug Overdose Deaths In The US Top 100,000 Annually

Let's say that 50% of those drugs come from the cartels (its probably more). Let's just say that every year drugs that come from cartels kill 50,000 Americans.

In the 20 years we were in Iraq/Afghanistan roughly 7000 US soldiers died.

Anyway, what I am getting at is between 9/11 and the 20 years of war after, roughly 5x less US citizens died than the amount that dies every year from overdosing and you are telling me there is absolutely nothing the US can do to wipe out these cartels?

If it was in the best interest of people within the US government go after the cartels it would have been done already.

This is more proof that there are people who have more to gain by having drugs come into the states and having them be illegal.

I’m gonna need the pics from the site unedited. That looks exactly like our rescue dog.

I don’t know how anyone vacations or retires to Mexico. As bad crime has become in America, I still couldn’t. That’s a big nope.

Truth. We're all capable of some horrendous things, most of us are just a few traumatic events from it.

If there is one thing I’m scared of in this world. It’s cartels.

What’s even scarier is that they’re likely taking advantage of the open border to get entrenched within the southern US. We think it can’t come here but they start to infiltrate government and law enforcement and we’re in big trouble.

I remember a video from back in the day where a cab driver helped the wrong crew so the other cartel kidnapped him, starved him, then drugged him up and cut pieces off him and fed them to him.

The dude literally ate pieces of himself. The Mexicans are fricked up.

I can’t believe it’s not New Orleans. But I figured a cartel controlled part Mexico was almost as safe of a bet.

Mexico should vigilantism legal for any citizens that engage in dissolving cartels.

The shite could be over in a month if the commoners have the appetite to do what it takes.

It's like playing fetch the ball, and getting a jerky treat, all rolled into 1 thing.
Sometimes the Sun does shine on the same dog's arse, all day long.
