I always dress as the HR manager. Then I walk around and talk to people about how their words, actions, and costumes can be hurtful to other people.

Our team of 12 or so had a boss who had grey hair, always wore suspenders, and smoked cigars. So we all greyed our hair and came to work wearing suspenders and carrying cigars.

He thought it was hillarious.

Any adult who dresses up for Halloween should be sentenced to 4 days in county jail.

In the 80's when I got out of college the company I worked for had cash prizes for best costume. All of the sales people dressed up and did skits to win that money. The skit you did was more important than the costume. Sometimes a couple of us would combine our costumes, do a skit together and split the money.

Our office GM was the daughter of the lady that started the company, and was really cool for a boss. Until she left our Dallas office for the corporate office in Houston, we didn't know she was putting up her own money for the Halloween prizes and things like open bars at Christmas parties and yearly gifts. She brought in the managers or even the owners of some of our vendors to be the impartial judges of the contests.

It was a fun place to work and Dallas was a great place to live in the 80's and 90's.

Imagine waking up in the ER / ICU, delirious, and you see clowns, ghosts, and ghouls all around you.
I was in Presbyterian hospital in Dallas from Oct. 4th, 2010-Jan. 6lh 2011 and remember seeing people dressed up for Halloween when they took me for dialysis. I wasn't very coherent, and at the time didn't know I was going thru the dialysis, but remember guys flirting with nurses who had on sexy costumes. I was lying down in an open room and could see elevator doors open. The same horny guys kept coming off the elevator flirting with the women in costumes.

That's my only Halloween memory from that year. I am jealous of those guys now, but at the time I remember asking the nurse that took me down there if we could go back to my room.. I couldn't feel what was going on but didn't like being there. If not for the costumed people and knowing I didn't like being there, I don't think I have any other memories of the dialysis.
