Why don’t you learn to cook for yourself?

Ummm....yes I did and I do. Follow my Mom's recipes from when I was a kid.

My wife reads and executes recipes, I cook. She has gotten much better over the past 15 years. When we first moved in, I literally had to show her how to use an oven.

That being said, here is some advice. Try something like Blue Apron. The meals are good, most things require little prep (for the most part), recipes are easy to follow, and it will give your wife an opportunity to learn how to cook. Over time, she will get more comfortable and begin to branch out on her own. That’s what we did and my wife became a much better cook

My wife is an excellent cook. Compared to my mother's cooking growing up, the wife might have a slight edge because I prefer southern dishes.

Yes and almost yes . She didn’t understand at first she needed to cook more than just a piece of meat with salad. I explained that we need some sort of sides. That was 20 years ago , she is much better now.
