Just tell us what you didn’t want her to find in your wallet.

My wife and I have a joint bank account, so it doesn't matter at all. If anything, I'd prefer she only went through my wallet for cash instead of having access to all my money.

you're being a lunatic. going through your wallet to get cash to pay for the pizza is very different than you being in the shower or something and she goes through and takes some cash out for spending money without your knowledge

What could someone even have in their wallet that would make them mad? I have a little cash, couple credit cards, and a couple of store cards and a hunting license. Why would I go ape shite if someone saw that?

How long have yall been dating?

That would have been a red flag to me. If I was just dating a guy and he acted like that...I would for sure be proceeding with caution.

My gf came over last night to chill and watch a movie with me and I ordered pizza so we wouldn’t have to cook anything. Anyway, the pizza dude arrived at my house, told me how much I owed, but when I reached for my wallet, I’d forgot it was sitting on my dresser in my bedroom. I was about to go get it, but my gf jumped up and got it for me. Instead of handing it to me, she opens it and takes out some cash and hands it to me. That didn’t sit well with me so when the pizza dude left, I told her to never go into my wallet again, that’s my private space and she didn’t like that. We ended up getting into a big fuss about it. Was I being a dick about it?

In this particular situation, that's not an issue. If she is randomly going through it without you asking, then I can obviously see the problem. Don't be such a beta.

I would need much more information to make a better assessment, but you seem like a huge prick. Why would your wallet be your private place from your SO?

14 years here. Same. But that isn't even why OP GF went into his wallet anyway.

NO!!!! I was brought up the same way. I wouldnt go in my dads wallet or go in my moms purse. If I needed money (or gum or something my mom would carry in her purse) they would tell us to grab it for them, and they would get it out. Instilled trust like no other rule I had as a child, imo.

Still til this day as an adult I wouldnt do it. I've had gfs think it's weird when I bring them their purse to grab something, and I just tell them it's your private space just like I dont want you rumbling thru mine. Different times, and many need to be taught it. If she cant understand this basic piece of respect then thats a bigger problem.....with her.

Same type of people that get upset with you when the ask, and you dont tell them how much you make or other personal financials. Just them asking is rude, so shouldnt even be an argument.

Keep up the fight, and these old school courtesies brotha!!

It's not the same, not one iota. It's not like your credit card limit is written on your credit cards.

And going through a woman's purse and your girlfriend grabbing cash out of your wallet aren't at all the same either. What could you crazy mother frickers actually have in your wallet that you want to hide?
