Shite, my wife (no pics) and kids are always in my wallet. That's the main reason it's empty all the damn time.

Relax, young slugger.

My gf came over last night to chill and watch a movie with me and I ordered pizza so we wouldn’t have to cook anything. Anyway, the pizza dude arrived at my house, told me how much I owed, but when I reached for my wallet, I’d forgot it was sitting on my dresser in my bedroom. I was about to go get it, but my gf jumped up and got it for me. Instead of handing it to me, she opens it and takes out some cash and hands it to me. That didn’t sit well with me so when the pizza dude left, I told her to never go into my wallet again, that’s my private space and she didn’t like that. We ended up getting into a big fuss about it. Was I being a dick about it?

You were being a dick. It's not like she went in there and took your money without telling you. She went and got your wallet for you and handed you money that you were about to use anyway. I'd have absolutely no problem with my gf doing that. Hell, I'd have no problem with a friend doing that. You are in the wrong here.

In 2018, people order pizza online. No one calls the pizza place and places an order over the phone. You have to enter your payment info before they even send the pizza over so you saying that your "girlfriend" got your wallet for you is a lie. You paid online ahead of time.

Ordering by phone, and cash payment is still a big option. What are you talking about?

I have a pizza place by work I eat lunch at a lot. Their "mom and pop" website is only good for basic orders, so they still take lots of calls. Also, my home is a couple streets past their "delivery zone" on their website for orders. I told them, and they told me to just call in. No worries since i'm a good lunch customer. They take cash all day long. Delivery drivers prefer it too.

Stop ordering only pizza hut, dominos, and papa johns and support the small pizza joints.

Pizza Hut will absolutely let you order online and pay cash without giving a credit card either carryout or delivery. Dad buys pizza for his guys every Monday , orders online and pays cash when it's picked up.

So you scolded her like a child and she didn't like it?

Yeah my gf will take money out or grab my CC whenever I need to pay for something. Your privacy kind of goes away when you enter a relationship. Besides, after 3 years of being together, we’ve seen enough of each other to not need a lot of privacy around it each other.

It's not the same, not one iota. It's not like your credit card limit is written on your credit cards.

And going through a woman's purse and your girlfriend grabbing cash out of your wallet aren't at all the same either. What could you crazy mother frickers actually have in your wallet that you want to hide?

It has nothing to do with "hiding" anything in my wallet, and or purse. It has everything to do with RESPECTING someones private property. My parents made sure we knew that going thru their wallet for money without permission was unacceptable. My parents didnt even go thru each others wallet/purse. They showed us this respect by example.

So yes they do correlate as people that dont get one being an issue are the same type of people.

The OP has every right to ask for that privacy. Society has gotten so f'd up that a person who wants to keep his private things private are bad people or "hiding" something. Instead of the people prying being f-ing nosey arse people that need to mind their f-ing business.

Well, to flip that around, I trust and respect my wife enough to let her go through my wallet if she needs something out of it. And vice versa.

Of course we also talk about money and salaries with each other, because we're married and that's pretty important in the grand scheme of things.

She grabbed cash out of his wallet to pay the pizza guy, she wasn't being nosey, not that complicated psychopath.

This line is just really cringey to me. I have never heard of anyone refering to their wallet as their private space.

Regardless, my wife goes in my wallet all the time, she will usually tell me and sometimes even ask I go in her wallet too on occasion. It's not that big a deal, especially if you are not hiding anything.

On the other end, my daughter brings me my wallet to tell me she needs cash...

She has a CC of mine, and I have one of hers. No need to dig in each other's wallet/purse

Not that have anything to hide, but my wallet is my private business and anything in it. I expect her to respect my privacy just like I respect her privacy ( purse).
