He goes to a chiropractor who has massage therapists on staff. He goes every saturday to get a one hour massage from one of the therapists and then the chiropractor gives him an adjustment afterwards. His chiro bills it as physical therapy. He can go once a week (and even more) because the plan pays for 75 sessions a year. He doesn't have to pay a dime because it's in network and he has 0 deductible.

He is a federal employee and I guess they have access to some really generous insurance called FEP blue shield. When he first got the job, he was advised by some coworkers that their insurance covers it, and he has basically been getting a weekly massage since 2019 when he got the job.

Sounds like borderline fraud to me..... but if the plan pays for it, can't blame for taking advantage.

Guess I am just letting the OT know that if you or your wife like to get massages, you might want to check if your insurance covers it...... I never knew it was a thing

Depends on the plan... My garage BCBSLA teacher insurance required me to put $1000 in before physical therapy was covered.

It should. Insurance covering escorts would do a lot more than paying for anti depressants

My eye insurance covers my sun glasses. I don't need prescription glasses (yet)
but everyone else in my family does. So I just go get some new sunglasses every year as my "frames"

Maybe the divorce costs could go towards the deductible
