Oh no it's dry there? Wtf? And people go shopping? Pickup trucks?? Lord I hope they were diesel.

I'm so sorry you had to see a fat person. Such rare and disgusting creatures.

No, Texas has no redeeming qualities, especially all the tool bags that are named after large cities there.

I was talking more about the strip mall thing. It's not like that at all in the actual city of Dallas. I live in Lower Greenville and I couldn't tell you where the nearest strip mall is that holds an actual business I'd ever actually go to.

so fricking Dallas

It's ok to go to strip malls dude, it's America, they are the cornerstone of commercial development.

I’m staying right by SMU right now. I was just thinking yesterday how beautiful it is here.

Louisiana is the most unique state in the union. If you can find the right job, in the right area, nothings better, anywhere im the world. Believe that! GEAUX LOUISIANA! F the haters! I love it here. Proud!

Pretty big ifs in your statement. As one who has the right job in the right place, I couldn’t disagree more. The uniqueness of La. is suffocated by the negative aspects that seem to be perprtuated from one generation to the next here. Even the biggest LOUISIANA homer recognizes what a hole this place is.
The only thing that keeps people here is family.

No state income tax but property tax that stays mostly within my community.

I don’t have to send my kids to private school.

Great economy.

Excellent roads and infrastructure.

Tejas is the ying to Californias yang.

Complete polar opposites, but very similar.

But the good days are coming to an end, Liberals are funneling immigrants into Tejas to turn it Blue. ONce that happens the state is fricked, as well as our country. Republicans/Independants would have ZERO shot to win, with Libs having Tejas, Cali, NY.

Texas seems terrible to me. Ugly, sprawling, suburban hell. The only people I know who live there hit the obese, dimwitted stereotype also

I love the irony of LA residents talking smack about intellect, body type, education, quality of life

It’s ONE reason but it’s definitely not the ONLY reason.

I? love living in south period. Living a few miles from the GOM and minutes from marsh fishing, hunting the piney woods, a few hours from the nicest beaches in the nation, the weather, food, people, always something to do outside are just a few other reasons.

I don't get the hate for Texas, esp from LA residents. Considering how many LA natives move there seeking better jobs and better schools and a better quality of life while being able to easily travel back to visit their family that still live in LA.

I have quite a few friends from LA that live in TX now...only reason they return to visit LA....is to see family. They will never live in LA again and are almost as vocal about that as I am.

There’s a reason that Houston has such a gigantic LSU alumni base. And you hit on it.

Really?

I mainly just wanted to know if you lived in LA. Since LA has a shite ton of uneducated, trashy, obese people there.
