Not that I go to either, but Mockingbird has plenty of them.
Yeah, the more I think about it there are some near me, but it's like the still ghetto places that will be gone in the next 2-3 years
I guess it helps having so much around that you don't ever have to go to those strip mall places.

Why do people hate strip malls? Do they not exist everywhere?
People simply repeat what they hear other people say.

The Dallas area is ugly.
DFW defintely has some beautiful areas in the mix, too.
There's also tons of stuff to do in Dfw and Texas in general. You have live music everywhere, world class dining, tons of lakes for boating and fishing, theme parks, enormous amount of professional sports, crazy good educational systems thoughout the entire state, festivals of all kinds, camels on farms, snow!!!!, the women
Can you imagine Baton Rouge and New Orleans with the same forward thinking, get it done attitude as the Dallas, Austin and Houston areas. There's a reason businesses do business in Texas and it's not just the taxes. I love the laid back attitude of Louisiana however that laid back attitude also negatively affects the state.

Hipsters hate strip malls because the cater to the motorist. In reality, the overwhelming percent of the population shops at one and they are great.

Texas isn't popular for its weather or its scenery.

I don't know. I'm not convinced that disliking strip malls is a hipster thing. Lots of people dislike them simply because they're unattractive even if they recognize the utility. At the same time they're pretty ubiquitous in the US so it's an odd thing to pick on Texas about.

Ive seen many that are interesting architecturally.. usually has a lot of specialty shops etc.
Usually the kind of people who shite on them (and suburbs) live in a blight of brick indistinguishable buildings in the city. Row after row...

Also in geographically limited cities you'll often find most of them in the crummier parts of town so that might influence some people. In Texas space is not as much of an issue.

Fort Worth has lots of things to see.
The Kimbell Art Museum has Michelangelo's first ever painting (which he did when he was 12).

That you just can't live in Texas unless you got alot of soul
Its the home of Willie Nelson, the home of western swing
He'll be the first to tell you, Bob Wills is still the King.
