My daughter runs track so I’ve been getting lots of track themed reels on IG. The schools push their athletes into very revealing media photos shoots (op is proof positive) and as a man I very much appreciate the aesthetic but as a father I am a little repulsed.

Sorry but if this were my daughter I’d be having a very direct conversation with the coach and SID department. This is soft core porn!

Because it's their uniform they have to compete in

Why do women cross country track athletes need to run in panties? Are regular gym style shorts that restrictive?

I never understood it either. It doesn't even have to be regular gym shorts, they could compete in uniforms similar to the men's teams if they need the tight-fitting clothes.

It’s not just college girls either. My wife showed me where one of her fiends from Bunco loaded pictures on FB of her daughter at a HS cross-country meet. She was wearing the same style uniform and she isn’t even old enough to drive yet.

I can kind of see with gymnastics with all the flipping, twisting ..etc

But, running, volleyball? do normal shorts slow people down or impede their jumping ability?

Doesn't seem so in basketball
