Does i really exist?

I feel like mathematicians pulled a rabbit out of the hat when, instead of discovering the numerical square root of -1, they just up and called it i and were like “there it is.”
Do imaginary numbers actually exist? They are said to exist on the “complex plane” which also sounds made up. Somethings not adding up.

Myou need to dive deeper into mathematics and number theories. It's really fascinating. Once complet your studies you'd should take a dive into physics and then theoretical physics, then quantum physics. Then you should combine all of that knowledge to calculate the moon's effects on humans and astrological events.

Go back and wrestle with whether real numbers actually exist then we can talk about complex numbers.

The number that has always fascinated me is e.
Like....how is it possible in a world of randomness that numerous biological, financial, ecological, etc patterns all involve e?
It's one of the most astounding facts of life
compound interest has nothing to do with growth rate of bacteria in a petri dish, yet e shows up in both.

That is irrational.

Yes, it is used to calculate capacitance and inductance in electrical circuits.

You don't think, therefore you are not

What an obtuse answer
I thought it was rather acute.
