Per Okaloosa County, hours for beaches are 6:30-9 a.m. and 4:30-7 p.m.

Has it changed since yesterday?

If I took 98 though with no checkpoints would I be good to go though or would I be getting pulled over by all the local Barney Fife's. ?

Beaches are fully open but I'm wondering if this is gonna be worth worrying about getting harassed by police for our few days there. Haven't been to orange Beach in a while but I don't remember liking it very much.

I prefer Sandestin over orange beach every day but I can’t rent a condo in Florida so I don’t have a choice.

I got ya. We got double bed room for 80/ night at Fairfield right across from Henderson State Park. I don't really plan on being in the room too much. Kids will prob stay at the pool if we are ever at the hotel.

Damn now I'm tempted to rent a car in hopes I don't have a Louisiana tag

Checkpoint at state line. Ask you to fill out a paper stating where you’re going and for how long. Took about 5 minutes yesterday.

The following is simply my opinion and is not legal advice:

This order added Louisiana to the list of high infection states with forced quarantine. See Section 1 (A). LINK

This is the most recent order. It fully extended orders 20-80 and 20-82, but only extended Sections 1 (C) and (D) from order 20-86, which maintained law enforcement's ability to set up road checkpoints to ask for point of origins, destination, etc. See Section 1 (D). LINK

Because an executive order only lasts until the next order, unless extended, I believe that Sections 1 (A) and (B) of 20-86 have now expired, removing Louisiana from the states required to self quarantine.

Now, their orders could simply be sloppily worded and the State of Florida may therefore disagree with me. Therefore, again, this is not legal advice.

The beaches on 30-A are amazing right now. Fish are biting now as well.

I believe Okaloosa County and Destin officials are meeting this week to extend those hours by May 9.

There aren't anymore restrictions on times at the beach in Destin. It opened up all the way yesterday I'm almost certain

That’s correct. Other parts of the county beaches are still open to limited hours and will use the same Destin beach hours pending a meeting this coming Tuesday.
