How do you propose they do that?
Pretty simple. You will need x amt of security hours at y amt. Plus rental of city owned property such as barricades. Or you supply your own property and people and give a financial guarantee thru money deposited, property put up or an insurance policy if damage occurs.

I understand the concept of how to do it, what I'm asking is how do you propose to get that money from people who either A. Don't have it or B. Aren't going to part with it.

I'm surprised a city hasn't attempted to sue Soros or one of his funded "organizations"

well, you don't, and they can't lawfully protest.

Arrest them for every little thing until they leave. That includes stuff like wearing a mask and littering.
Once people come to the realization that they are being used and these people offer no benefit, they're gonna be shut down

While their lives matter to black people. Bills, and paying for stuff do not.

I wondered the same thing last night as I watched protestors block up major intersections in downtown Atlanta on peak days to eat at restaraunts. The economic impact can't be helping those places with people staying away.

I thought the right to peacefully assemble is granted,

It is time for them to get their asses out of Dallas. They aren't protesting, they are being obnoxious (and probably paid).

DeRay was just released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Yep. Right after they pay their taxes, mortgage, grocery bill, and tithe.
C'mon, man.

So we should only allow people who can afford it to demonstrate? Is it not obvious how dangerous a road that is? And how contrary it runs to the founding principals of the country? Peaceful assembly is protected by the First Amendment. How many in this thread would have no problem charging people for protests but would cry foul at any first threat to the 2nd Amendment? It has nothing to do with how you feel about BLM or any other group that chooses to gather.

Buddy of mine who owns a bar lost 23k this weekend downtown. He is definitely claiming on his loss of business insurance.

So as soon as a group fails to peacefully protest, can we restrict that group from a right, much like we do other freedoms?

And the insurance company raises all premiums
So although your buddy comes out ok, the collective suffers.
Causing financial or physical damage is no longer peaceful nor merely exercising free speech
