Does Beano actually work?

Next weekend I have a date with a girl, and she wants Mexican food. I’m going to take her to El Paso, and then we’re going to catch a movie afterwards. I don’t want to end up being uncomfortable the whole time in the movie theater. I also don’t want to slip up and ruin everything before anything even gets started.
Is Beano actually effective in your experience or is there another over-the-counter supplement that I should use instead??

It works, but in my experience give your gut a break with some easy food the day after, or there's a rebound effect. It is not pleasant.
