I wondered if I could have just because of not wearing a mask or changing any habits
Plus my neighbor had it & was at my house a few days before her diagnosis
When I donated blood they did an antibody test & it was negative

Went to natty in New Orleans, about 1.5 weeks later I started with what felt like flu as I walked through grocery store. I tried to wish the aches away but then I started with this nasty, dry cough that I couldn’t stop once I started. It made it very hard to catch my breath. Get home and fever was 102.5. Because I was going out of town the next morning for work, I decide to go to urgent care to get a flu swab since it was going around. Came back negative and he gave me some cough medicine.

Wake up and head to Missouri feeling terrible next day. I inservice one floor and about couldn’t walk from the fever and breathe from the coughing. I go take my temp and it’s 104.5.
I went back to hotel room and called a good friend who’s been a nurse for 30+ years. She was very alarmed with how my voice sounded. I told her that my skin felt numb and I was struggling to breathe, she said get to the ER. They bring me back and do a chest x ray and blood panel. Pulse ox was 92. Granted this is before they had covid testing as it wasn’t “here” yet. But they were swarming with patients with same symptoms and were making us all wear masks.

Docs comes back and says you have pneumonia all over your chest and blood test shows flu, but I had already had the strand of flu she said it was less than a month before. I’ve not gotten the antibody test as I’ve heard it’s wildly inaccurate.

If that wasn’t it I don’t know what was. That did not feel or linger like the flu. I was down for almost a month. I couldn’t hardly get out of bed for two weeks, ended up cracking a rib from the coughing and lost almost 10 lbs from being so inactive and not having an appetite.

I’ve never had a cough like that and I’ve had walking pneumonia and bronchitis.

Had these things. Fever broke after 60 hours or so.
Achey all over, and sensation like a head cold (but mucous wouldn´t shift to let me hear, if I tilted my head).

Lasted about four days, I believe.

The hearing impairment, about two weeks.

I came down with something in July of last year, and was sick and running fever for about 2 weeks. Most of the symptoms were the same as Covid, but then again the flu has many of the same symptoms.

After dealing with it for about 2 weeks I went to the doctor, and he said that there was a bad respiratory virus going around, and that I probably had it......2 shots, and some meds cleared it up pretty quick.

This was also the first time I’ve been sick in about 4-5 years

Eh. I felt a little meh when I was in Los Angeles right as lockdown happened but was able to power through and still have fun so that makes me hesitant to think it was Covid.

I had fever for a day or two when I got home but again it was extremely mild.. so hesitant to say.

I had it after Mardi Gras. Went to work with it because I wasn’t running a fever, but definitely coughed for 3 weeks, lost my sense of smell and taste, body ached severely at the onset.

Pretty sure it ran through my family before knew what it was.

Wife and I went to California for our honeymoon in late October. About 2 weeks after we got back my wife got sick. Bad lingering cough for like a week. I got the same thing 2-3 days after her

We then saw my family at Thanksgiving. A week or so later my brother and my mom both got really sick. Brother for about 3 weeks. Seems like it took my mom about 4 or 5 weeks to shake it.

At Thanksgiving a relative was feeling rotten with a cough she couldn't shake. A few days later she woke up with shortness of breath and spent several days in the hospital, including 24-48 hours on a ventilator. A couple of weeks after that I had a sore throat for exactly 24 hours followed by exactly one week of fatigue and a bad cough, after which I woke up the next day feeling absolutely fine.

Were both of these covid? Either? Neither? The timeline doesn't fit the narrative of when it was supposed to be here. But it felt like nothing I've had before.

Convinced I had it in February too. Haven’t done the antibody test though.

Based on the symptoms, particularly the loss of taste, I am pretty sure I had it right after Mardi Gras. I remember it being a really odd illness and no medicine made me feel any better. It just kind of went away after a couple of weeks.
