My son got me in to PUBG with him.. Im not a gamer but do enjoy playing it when I have time. We usually play squads or duos, playing on teams together.

It's the OT, full of high school and college kids living in their mom's basement, they all play fortnite and post on TD.

I think you underestimate how many 40+ year olds are on here. TD is the only site besides Facebook easy enough for them to use.

Fortnite is the first BR game I ever played so I will probably get laughed out of the gaming board because I really don't know much outside of Fortnite.

Nah. Here is a 202 page thread on Fortnite to enjoy

What is it about this game that has players literally ignoring every other game? Give me Metroid prime 4 anyday (when that drops)

Heh, I used to play EvE Online with an 85 year old rich man. He was one of the Microsoft single digit employee number folks.

Last I knew he was undergoing chemo for cancer and married a Chinese woman. Was planning to start up a kayak manufacturing, distribution, and sales operation in China where outdoor adventure stuff was a fad taking off with the newly rich.

There was an interesting WSJ piece about how fortnite is engineered to be as addictive as possible. The more people that play the more data they gather, analyze and then make adjustments to get people to play more and more.

It is free, on every platform and designed for children.

Why does Baby Shark have over 2 billion views? Answer - the world is filled with morons and simple folk, who love dumb mind numbing things.

I can't answer this in comparison to other games because I haven't played many video games. When I do play video games its usually sports games and it's usually with other people.

But from what I can see is that while Fortnite doesn't have a primary storyline (this is something I read BTW), it does have sort of a secondary storyline in the sense the scene changes and they also have themes that include popular culture.

I actually bought a skin this weekend because they had the NFL skins available so I got a Saints skin.

A few weeks ago they had an artic blast. If you were on when it happened, something happened and the whole island was covered in snow. And it stayed that way for a little over a week I guess, then it slowly melted.

Now there appears to be something that will happen with a volcano.

Epic Games is a good investment right now. While the game is free to download and play, you have to buy the skins, dances, etc. Fortnite alone, I want to say.. Just in North America makes Epic $20is million a month.

I like other first person shoot games like COD but randomly here and there not consistently; played Fortnite a couple times because my son plays it but I didn’t get into it.

I got it for my son (9) for Christmas, so I decided to give it a whirl. It's pretty cool but I'm constantly getting smoked by these little a-holes from out of nowhere. Then it takes you to their vantage point and god damn I can't believe what I'm seeing. It's like fricking magic. Then I realize that the people who are that good at it have invested hundred of hours into it, so I'll never be on that level. It's a pretty cool game, though. But I only play the Xbox maybe 10mins per week.

No shite. I got second a few times but never won. My son wants to play every night. Not sure his mom catches on

PUBG is the game to play.

You may buy if you are dumb enough to pay for free.

My current game rotation is Halo 5, Halo MCC, NCAA 13, or an old Tony Hawk game. Haven't bought a new game in a while
