This is pretty good advice.
My wife is from Midland and from my POV for being what it is there is an insane amount of well connected people there. I’ve met quite a few professional athletes, actors, and politicians (national and international) just through her small group of friends from high school.

The amount of attractive professional women in the Starbucks in the Doubletree in downtown Midland every morning will blow your mind. But you quickly realize that the ones that live there are married and the single women are saleswomen making their routes. That is a very sobering reality.
The best bar IMHO is The Hemingway and you will see some attractive single women. Almost all of them are recent college grads from TTU or TAMU working at their first job in the PB.
The patio at Cork and Pig is a pretty cool hangout spot but it is overrun with oilfield baws after 5
The places like Hooters and Twin Peaks are laughable. Trashy tatted up chicks with oilfield hands begging for their attention.

It's actually rolling because it's cheaper to get it out of the ground than the Eagle Ford, that area is the armpit of Texas and anyone that would move there full time needs to have their head examined.
