my friend ny blogger chick (she who does "abandoned baton rouge") is turning the blog into a book...
apparently olegreg salvaged the Billy Cannon mural out of the Bellemont when it was torn down and she'd like to get some pictures and talk to him

But Baton Rouge is OUR crazy Uncle.
It is NOT okay for some uppity student at LSU who seemed to hate being here, but she still moseyed around town taking cool pics of old shite.

Yep, the pics were allsome and she has giant brass balls for going into some of those places.
But the commentary and her lack of historical knowledge and context were sometimes cringe worthy. Can't really fault her too much though for not knowing BR history since she didn't grow up here.

there's a lot of truth there, I became friends with her because I understood what it was like to be in her position (in my case it was Monterey, CA)
