New to the area and my car won't start so I have to get it towed. Want to send it to a place where I have the least chance of getting ripped off. Any recommendations?

Don't know any mechanics UPT but Perry's Automotive on Lime St. in Metairie is only honest mechanic I have found.

Kehoe automotive on Freret was my go-to when I live in the city. Always fair and did good work, highly recommend them.

Crescent city on Magazine

Also I've used one on Tchop with my truck and they were fair. Don't remember the name but remember it was somewhere between Jackson and Louisiana if that helps.

Didn't get any water in it. Just think my starter is toast but it could be a few other things from what I've read.

I once saw a kid call AAA because he could figure out how to start his car. His steering wheel was locked

Its not Uptown, but Boudreaux's Automotive, next to the Fairgrounds, is honest to a damn fault.

Emile's Auto Repair
9317 Airline Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70118

The place is a dump but my coworkers and I all go to him. Dopes the work quick and at an honest price.

Just outside of Uptown. This guy does a really great job on the cheap. Replaced the solenoids in the starter in my car for $110. The parts online were $75.

Agree. Have used 3x in last 6 years, including this summer, all good experiences, fair dealing on tires, light mechanical repairs.
