Does anyone else just not like dogs after close neighbors who let them bark nonstop?

I'm in my late 20s living in a duplex with other tenant that has 5 dogs. 5 french bulldogs that never, I mean never stop barking outside. Everytime I open my door to leave my place, I have no option but to walk 2 inches next to this gate that keeps them on their side. They instantly go insane and start throwing themselves at the fence and barking like I robbed their place. It got so bad that I now just get a water bottle, mix in some cajun seasoning, and poke holes in the top and spray them down just so I don't have to walk 3 inches next to 5 dogs going balistic. That is the only thing that has ever worked.
There are 3 other neighbors who let their dogs just bark nonstop. They don't want to deal with them inside, so they make it the whole neighborhoods problem.
I just don't like dogs. There's no appeal in me to own that. It's a large enough fraction of dogs having lived in multiple spots that I just don't get the appeal. At least with cats, they never cause headaches and do their own thing. Can spend time when you want, otherwise they're on their own and more pleasant in my opinion to be around.
Update: The dog owner caught me spraying down his dogs with the cajun seasoning water. He was acting like I'm the bad guy in this situation. I told him "For the past 300 days, I've dealt with your 5 dogs killing my peace for 4 hours a day. From the barking and whimper to them going ballistic 3 inches away from me everytime I enter and leave my apartment. I feel no remorse for spraying them down with cajun seasoning. This would not be an issue if you know how to have your dogs behave properly. I'm moving out in 2 weeks" Then left.

It's not the dogs' fault, it's that their people don't know how to raise them properly.
If it was just on neighbor, I'd say complain to mgt. But it seems like it's a more general problem that you'd be better off just moving away from.

I am moving. I cut my lease short and found someone to take over. Going somewhere no dogs allowed.

I know you can’t do this but, when my four Rat Terriers hear the BB’s run from one end of the Red Rider to the other…. All is quiet.

It would be annoying in a duplex. Most of our neighbors have dogs but I can't hear them inside.

I love dogs but I want to shoot my neighbor’s fricking dog in the face. It barks constantly and it is UBER aggressive whenever my neighbor goes outside to take it for a walk. Like it legit looks like it wants to tear off my family’s face. We have a four year old son and if that bitch ever comes anywhere near him I’m gonna gouge its eyes out and choke it to death.

It's amazing to me how many people find it appealing to walk behind an animal all it's life picking up it's feces. No thanks

I don't have neighbors close to me.
I also can care less where my dog poops as long as outside.

I don’t own any but had them growing up. Going through the same shite with the neighbors dogs barking early in the morning or any time I go outside. Also getting through the fence sometimes. I know how you feel.
Just remember it’s not the dog’s fault they act stupid it’s their sorry arse owner

This works with most animals that are a nuisance. For some reason they know that sound.

Good luck with that. Pet ownership is so prevalent (especially among the whites), I doubt your hunt is successful.

I’m one of the few honkeys who just don’t understand pet ownership. I never want to be so psychologically needy that I need emotional support from an animal.
I had cuddly stuffed animals as a child. But I grew up. It’s time to be on Team Human.
They’re also a maintenance heavy, depreciating asset.
When I see grocery shoppers dropping heavy bags of dog food for checkout, I can’t help but think of how much shite that bag is going to produce - shite they’ll have to pick up. If they don’t pick it up, it’s just shite that’s going to stink up their yard or neighbor’s yards like the surroundings have been infested by homeless people.
The worst among them take their fur babies to restaurants where you get to see these animals lick their assholes while you dine.
But I do love Old Yeller. He was a good boy. Never licked his own a-hole. Ever. Dude had class.
