Good king cake with coffee in the morning is solid. It gets old after a few weeks. As an out of towner, I would prefer boudin with coffee over king cake in the long run.

I should probably add that I generally hate all forms of cake other than cheesecake.

It’s the go to vendor gift for 8 weeks. After the first two weeks, it gets old.

I like the original king cake, very lightly drizzled with royal icing, and more like a cinnamon roll flavor/texture. Pecans are nice too. Most king cakes are way too sweet, bordering on nasty for my taste.
