I am from the "bricks and stones might break my bones but names will never hurt me" school. There isn't a single name you can call me that will get me upset. First. people usually call you a name to get you upset. Second, I am not a child. And third I truly don't care what someone thinks about me. I am me, I can't help if I don't jive with some people... Honky, cracker, whitey. Am I supposed to get mad at that?

I was called a Melato once. It didn’t hurt.
I was called, "red on the head, like a dick on a dog" once.
But it did hurt to dumb arse who said it.

Nah but I wish white people knew that the majority of the time Hispanics use “gringo”, they’re using it in a derogatory way.
We know... don't care.

People on the board seem to get mighty offended by the term boomers

Ok. So you agree with me.
If you get offended by being called anything, yes, I agree with you.

Some but I’m Gen X. Call me what you will.

No. We all know who has dominated history.

Perfect. I’m not sure why you questioned me in the first place.

I don’t. I have never had qualms of using whatever name I felt like calling them. Never. I don’t hide.

The majority of black folks don’t even know where the term “cracka” comes from or they wouldn’t be saying it.

If I was ever in a position for another race to call me a name, I would seriously reconsider my station in life and adjust

Oh, they do. They just think it will hurt yt people. They are just too ignorant to understand it doesn’t.

No. It just bounces off my privilege.

There is no privilege. That’s an excuse by those with an inferiority complex.

Nope.
Proud honky, cracker, redneck, hillbilly, and on.
Don't know of any who do get upset.

Call me a cracka all day. As long as there are no hard r's we are good.
Posted on 6/9/26 at 8:14 pm to Shorter Yards
I've been called a hard R roughly the same number of times I've been called a white slur.
And I could count the total on one hand.
